Abstract
Purpose: The present study was conducted to compare the distant and near visual contrast acuity for myopic astigmatism among toric soft contact lenses, glasses and spherical equivalent (S + C / 2) contact lens.

Methods: Experiments were measured for 22people (aged 20s-30s) Cyliner power is ranged from -0.75 D to -1.75 D. After wearing J¡¯s contact lens made ASD design and C¡¯s contact lens made Wide Ballast Band design both toric soft contact lens and spherical equivalent soft contact lens, distant and near acuity were measured.

Result: Toric soft contact lens, glasses and spherical equivalent contact lens were no statistically significant difference at distance. Visual acuity from the two lenses, regardless of contrast, glasses, toric and spherical equivalent soft contact lens were highly measured in order. Spherical equivalent soft contact lens and toric soft contact lens as comparison of high contrast and low contrast acuity were statistically significant, high contrast acuity of Wide Ballast Band design was statistically significant difference, but it¡¯s low contrast acuity was no statistically significant differences.

Conclusion: Myopic astigmatism in soft contact lens prescription may be affected by visual life style and full explanation to the patient is required and manufactures seem to consider toric stabilization owing to producing in different ways.
